AirCare Plus was developed by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, a non-profit organization that supports energy efficient services in the marketplace. It is a perfect complement to your routine maintenance and is recommended to uncover expensive secrets.

HVAC Secrets are Revealed

A study by the Public Interest Energy Research Project found a high number of problems in all energy-consuming HVAC components. For example, many of the units examined could not take advantage of the economizer’s “free” cooling feature.  The AirCare Plus program is designed to address these critical areas to maximize performance and energy efficiency.

Air Care Plus Advanced Service Features
When  licensed and certified technician performs the AirCare Plus service on your packaged rooftop HVAC unit, all major components will be thoroughly inspected and adjusted for optimal performance.

Thermostat Inspection: Thermostat controls are verified to ensure proper settings, guaranteeing that the unit is running only when it needs to be and does not needlessly increase your energy usage.

Economizer Inspection: Servicing the economizer provides the greatest opportunity for energy savings. Experience has shown that economizers are often difficult to troubleshoot due to their complexity. Working with the AirCare Plus program, the licensed and certified technician can diagnose the current operating condition of the economizer and repair or adjust it to provide as much “free cooling” as possible helping to lower energy bills.

Refrigerant/Airflow Inspection: The Service AssistantTM is an automated tool that evaluates the refrigerant charge and performs an analysis to identify problems. Proper charge may extend the compressor’s life and reduce energy consumption (and energy bills).

What is an "Economizer"?

 A economizer is a fan that blows outside air into the building when the temperature outside is sufficient for providing indoor cooling.  Economizers are often bolted on the outside of package units.  They are extremely efficient cooling solutions that only use a fraction of the energy used by rooftop air conditioning units during cooler weather.  Economizers bypass the more costly air conditioning compressor system.
