Inevitably, there will be a decision to be made whether to repair or replace your wine cellar refrigeration. There are a lot of factors to consider; the age of the equipment is important, but if the equipment has not had any or many repairs during its lifetime and it is keeping temperature, it might just be a matter of planning for the eventual replacement.

However, if the wine cellar is aging and has had a few repairs, some of them costly, then other items need to be taken into consideration. These can include the age and value of the wine collection you are protecting and the chance of another failure and how. What can’t be overlooked is a replacement on your time instead of when the wine cellar equipment dictates it.
