Cold Craft, Inc. HVAC R Firm Launches Mechanical Engineering Department

Cold Craft, Inc. specializes in mechanical installation for new construction, renovation, and retrofit of commercial, residential luxury and industrial facilities projects. The missing component was engineering and planning.

Cold Craft added the Engineering and Planning Department with the goal of improving the customer experience with more predictable project timelines, increased budgetary control and clarity on the project. Control during the design process nearly eliminates potential cost over-runs that can sometimes develop as a project moves from conception to design. Cold Craft is announcing the engineering component of the business as a stand-alone offering or coupled with a professional mechanical construction team (design-build). Customers opting for the design-build concept benefit from knowing that the complete responsibility for the entire system rests solely with one company. Susan Nichol, CEO of Cold Craft, Inc. added, “This can only be good for our clients, they will get the whole package with just one responsible party. No finger pointing like you see with the splintered engineering and mechanical contractor jobs.” In the past Cold Craft, Inc. hired outside talent for the engineering and that worked well, but the firm is looking for a more seamless process for the clients.

Cold Craft’s experience includes green build construction especially in regards to geothermal systems and grocery store construction and renovation. As a result of bringing the engineering component in-house, the firm positions itself for green design-build HVAC R projects too.

The Engineering and Planning Department consists of seasoned personnel with many years of engineering, drafting and HVAC construction experience working with firms such as H-Square Mechanical, Therma, Inc., Polyaire Mechanical, etc. The educational experiences range from degrees to continuous education from institutions such as California Polytechnic University, Long Beach State and Bay Area seminars.

Cold Craft strives to provide prompt, precise, and well defined proposals for negotiated projects in the initial stages of planning and development. The firm realizes the significance and importance of being able to provide true scopes and dependable pricing for these projects. We continually search for improved ways to serve our clients.

Established in 1991; Cold Craft, Inc., based in Campbell, CA has become one of the leading HVAC R subcontractors in the Northern California area. Cold Craft, Inc. offers a diverse portfolio in both commercial and residential sectors.
