If you have considered getting a high efficient furnace you may be happy to know that the PG&E rebates (application) are in effect again.  This is in addition to the tax credits (what’s new in tax credits 2011) offered by the federal government (from the stimulus money in the reinvestment act).  Of course we suggest to check with your tax advisor for specifics and to see if you qualify.  So, it is a great time to upgrade to an energy efficient furnace.

It’s important to note that if you installed an energy efficient furnace after September 1st, 2011 and were not able to submit paperwork because of the temporary suspension of the program that – the program is back on again!  PG&E will accept thost not previously submitted applications for consideration.

When you submit your rebate paperwork read the directions carefully.  Leaving off something from the PG&E instructions can delay or deny your rebate claim (more information).

  • $150 for 94-95.9% efficiency (or AFUE)
  • $250 for 96+% efficiency (or AFUE)

PG&E or the CPUC can stop this program at any time, hurry and get your rebates while it is still available.  See PG&E for details pge.com
